Meeting called to order at 7:04 p.m.

Membership: 20 single, 6 family for a total of 32
Bills payable: Mary Anne will give Iris a cheque to give to Kari for the clock. The ride ribbons have been paid for and picked up.
|MHC Reconciliation Forms||MHC would like more detailed accounting on their reconciliation forms (but not to the penny). This form is to be submitted by August 22, 2022.||Mary Anne|
|August 27th Birds Hill Ride||Linda Cruden is the Ride Manager. The permit, vet (Dr. Jenna from Central), trail marker and a couple of volunteers are set to go. Kari has been updating the Ride Manager’s Manual and will meet with Linda C. right after the Zoom meeting to go over the manual and answer any questions. Kari will send Linda a copy of the Ride Manager Manual. Linda wondered if we needed a copy of the ride permit at the ride. Linda will message Darice to see if a copy is needed at the park. Kari will give the fly boots donated by Suzanne and horse magazines to Linda to be used as prizes at the ride. Linda will check with Christine to determine the distances being offered at the Birds Hill Ride e.g. 15, 25 and 40. Brenda will gather entry information on the entry deadline, Wednesday August 24 and share this with Linda. Brenda will post the ride start times once Linda shares that information with her. We need to have at least two riders entered for a 40 mile ride in order to run it. The registration link for the Birds Hill Ride will be active August 9th. Angela will post registration information for the Birds Hill and Gross Isle rides on the website. |September 24th Gross Isle Ride||Ride distances will be 15, 25 and 40 miles. Linda has lots of prizes and a goody bag for all riders and maybe a few other surprises up her sleeve.||Linda G|
|September 17th Sandilands Ride||After discussion the board and members present at the meeting voted to cancel the Sandilands ride. There was concern that having two rides so close together would split the entry resulting in lower turnout for both rides. A big thank you to Darice and Dean who had volunteered to check out the trails at Sandilands to see which ones were passable.|
|Email Template for Ride Registration||Brenda updated the email template sent to riders after they register. The updated version includes the cancellation policy.|
|Fundraising||Iris will try to have the Grey Cup tickets ready for distribution at the last ride. Kari shared information regarding Save On Food sponsoring a BBQ at a Dressage Winnipeg show. She will check with D. W. re what’s involved in accessing sponsorship from Save On. We might want to consider providing a lunch of some sort for the vet, volunteers and riders.||Iris Kari|
|Next Meeting||The next meeting will be on Thursday, September 15th at 6:30 at Linda Gillies’ home. Bring finger food!|
