Spruce Woods reviewAll feedback from participants was positive. Lovely turnout of 15 riders doing varying distances.  The board has expressed wanting to join with DRM again for next year.
Equipment trailerChristine S., Brenda, and Kari have gone through the trailer. Items have been thrown out/consolidated.   A tub of ribbons and a box of t-shirts were found.   There were issues with how the trailer was packed after Spruce. The trailer needs to be cleaned and maintain properly by both clubs.   Kari will inform DRM that MTRC will split the cost to mount the tire on the tongue.   Terry will give the tub of ribbons to Linda Gillies, as Linda is responsible for ribbons.   Kari will get the t-shirts from the trailer and donate them to MCC Thrift.
QuadFinal report has been submitted by Kari.   Info sheet will be sent to everyone who requests to use the quad. Linda G. currently has the quad at her house but Brenda is open to having it stored at her place for the winter if Linda G doesn’t have a place inside her garage.   Quad in insured for theft/vandalism but not for personal injury. To add this insurance is costly. At this time, MTRC will not add this insurance.
Grosse Isle ride12 riders registered, 2 riding 10 miles, 3 riding 15, 5 riding 25, and 2 riding 40 miles.
Boot rule reviewRules and regulations around boots were brought up. The question was can hoof boots be worn while you are in vet checks before/during the ride.Vets need to see your horse’s movement unhindered at vet in. Hoof boots may be worn AFTER first vet check is completed. Wearing boots at first vet check will lead to penalty points.
Grey Cup fundraiserGrey cup tickets have been handed out by Iris to multiple board members.  Iris will need the money and stubs for tickets no later than November 17, which is Grey Cup day.
AwardsPrizes have been decided for this year. We are waiting to hear back from our embroidery contact.     If the embroidery can’t be done in time items will be embroidered at a later date.   Awards next year will be granted to both reserve and champions.   Linda G., Terry and Iris continue to work on awards.
Board positionsPresident, vice president, and secretary board positions are open for next year.Kari will post the positions after the last DRM ride and encourage people to put their names forwards.
AGMYear end awards will be handed out at the AGM meeting. Dinner will be at peppercorn in Oakbank on November 16th from 3:30 to 5 pm with dinner served at 5.   Kari will invite DRM to join the meeting at 5 to discuss next year’s ride schedule and locations.   Kari will book the Peppercorn.

Motion to adjourn: Moved by Emma, seconded by Kari. Meeting adjourned at 8 p.m

Next meeting: AGM: In person at the Peppercorn on November 16 at 3:30 p.m
