Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:09 p.m.
Attendance: Kari Hasselriis, Terry McKee, Brenda Tolpa, Iris Oleksuk, Linda Gillies, Angela Roberts, Carla Melquist, Tracy Gillis, Linda Cruden, Tricia Mason

Treasurer’s Report: Not available.
Kari will submit receipts for $132.67 for printing of pamphlets and $83.63 to DRM for MTRC’s share of the web hosting expense.

| Coggins 2023 Final Decision | After discussion on the Coggins Requirement a vote was taken by the Board members. The motion was: MTRC will drop the Coggins requirement for the 2023 MTRC Ride Year, unless there is a reported case of EIA in Manitoba, in which case a Coggins requirement will be reinstated. | MTRC Pamphlet | Kari had 100 MTRC Information Pamphlets printed and they were distributed at the meeting so that members could share them at their barns, horse related businesses and with interested riders. If anyone would like a copy for themselves or to share please let Kari know. | |
| 3. Patches and Plaques | Kari will contact the person who embroiders patches so that the club can replenish the supply and also make sure everyone received their patch from last season.There are two options for plaques – small and large. Riders receiving plaques will be asked which option they prefer prior to the ordering of plaques. | Kari |
| 4. Ride Manager’s Binder | As the Ride Manager Binder has gone missing, a new Ride Manager Binder will be printed and the folder will be attached to the wall in the equipment trailer. Kari will send the Ride Manager information electronically to each Ride Manager. The Ride Manager will need to print timing sheets for their ride. | Kari Ride Managers |
| 5. New Member/Rider Training Guide | Linda G. has developed a general outline for new MTRC riders who would like information on how to prepare their horse for its first competition. Linda shared the information with members at the meeting for feedback. The document will be reviewed at the next meeting and then Carla will type it so that it can be shared with interested riders. Links with additional information on the MTRC website will also be referenced. | Linda Carla |
