- Treasurer’s Report and Membership Update
3.1 Financial Update
• GIC $2,328.91
• Chequing $2142.14
• The year-end awards bill of $362.57 and half the BHP permit are paid.
3.2 Membership Update
3 family, 8 single for a total of 14. - Grosse Isle Ride
• Linda updated the group on her ride. No concerns. She, along with Brenda’s help, will promote
the ride.
Action:
• Linda needs to order a biffy. - Education Event
• Kari, Terry, Iris, Brenda, and Angela shared with the group what they currently plan to do for
their part of the event.
• Each person will market their specific part; Kari will market the event generally.
• There will be a meeting on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30 pm to review the details of the event if we
have enough registered.
• We have two people registered so far. We need 10 paid by April 26 to proceed.
Actions:
• Each person will post on Facebook about their respective parts.
• If the event runs, organizers can send any handouts to Kari to put on to MTRC logo’d paper for
Brenda to print out. - Flyer and Payment Types
• The annual flyer (pamphlet) continues to have a portion to complete for a membership and an
address to send a cheque to.
• The flyer will need to be updated and redesigned if we choose to remove that section of the trifold.
Actions:
• Kari will ask Mary Anne at the next meeting what payment types we should continue to
accept. - Check in for 55+ Games, Belair, AGM, and any other topics
• Angela is attending the AGM on MTRC’s behalf.
• Dr. Hannah from Dr. Neil Versaval’s clinic will vet Belair.
• There are no new updates about the 55+ Games.
• There were no additional concerns brought forward.
Actions:
• Iris is responsible for the Crew Area, Terry for the Vet Gate, Brenda for camping with your horse,
Angela for the mock ride, and Kari for CTR 101.
• Mary Anne will help with lunch, Kari will do marketing, Brena will do registration.
• A role still needs to be assigned to Carol and anyone else who is able to volunteer.
• Kari will update Kylee and Janine on the mock ride date change. - Addition to the agenda
• MTRC has a stack of coupons for a free ride or a discount. The group decided to offer them as
gift certificates.
Action:
• Kari will review the items and the group will discuss how to proceed with them at the next
meeting. - Secretary Notetaking Review
