Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 6:40 p.m.
Attendance: Kari Hasselriis, Terry McKee, Brenda Tolpa, Linda Gillies, Mary Anne Kirk, Iris Oleksuk, Angela Roberts

Treasurer’s Report:
GIC’s – $2,210.96, Chequing – $2,906.65
Membership: 24 single, 6 family for a total of 32
Receipts for the Grosse Isle $114.10, Porta Potty $117.60

| Review of Grosse Isle Ride | Well run ride, enjoyed by all! Nice variety of trails from flat prairie to forest and sand hills with a water crossing. It was suggested that for fall rides we encourage riders to wear bright vests. Another idea was to sell safety vests with a MTRC logo on the back as a fund raiser. | |
| Points and Awards | Awards have been ordered. Come to the MTRC AGM to find out who this year’s winners are! | Kari, Brenda |
| Appeal for Ride Managers and Trail Markers | For the last few years ride dates have been set at the AGM. It was suggested that we might want to allow for the option of adding additional rides after the AGM if people decide later on that they are able to manage a ride and have trail markers. Some people may not be ready to commit to running a ride as early as the November AGM. Kari will send an email inviting all club members to consider managing a ride. | Kari |
| Fundraising Update | Iris and Kari are in the process of navigating red tape to get the lottery number so we can print our Grey Cup tickets in time to sell before the big game. | Iris, Kari |
| General Call for 2023 Board Members | The present Board Members are willing to serve in some capacity on the board, but as always welcome fresh faces and new ideas if there are any members who would like to consider becoming a Board Member. | |
| Next Meeting | Saturday, November 5 at Smitty’s in Selkirk. Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. with AGM Meeting to follow at 9:00 a.m. |
