  1. Call to Order:
    6:31 pm Chair: Kari Hasselriis
  2. Previous Minutes: February minutes were approved by Angela and Brenda.
  3. Additions to the agenda: None
  4. Treasurer’s Report and Membership Update
    4.1 Financial Update
    • GIC $2,277. 66
    • Chequing $2,404.16
    • Bills: $173.24 (website) $55. 63 (2025 pamphlets). These bills are paid and included in the
    chequing balance.
    4.2 Membership Update
Unchanged from last month at 2 family and 9 single for a total of 13.
  5. Lunch ‘n’ Learn Event – Summary
    • Great turnout of 30 people.
    • Kari was unable to attend, and no one was able to replace her as an official MTRC voice.
However, Iris and Carol Gibson were there to advocate on behalf of the club as needed.
    • There is interest in doing this type of event again. However, a meeting/event chair would benefit
the flow of the information and timing.
    • Other ideas are to match an experienced competitor with a new one and have them discuss CTR
and to ensure we get all the names and emails of people who attend.
    • Christine has an email list of the attendees who pre-registered.
  6. Grey Cup Fundraiser
    • The group discussed selling $2 tickets as we have in the past or selling $5 tickets instead as it’s a
    bigger payout.
    • Ashley motioned we raise it to $5 and all members present were in favour. Our 2025 Grey Cup
raffle tickets will be the $5 ones.
  7. Equipment
    • The group discussed ensuring the quad is well maintained for its longevity. At this time, it will
continue to live at Brenda’s. The Oakbank Car Wash has an outdoor bay that people can use to
wash or rinse off the quad if it’s dirty.
    • DRM and MTRC want to mount the equipment trailer spare tire on the trailer tongue to make
room in the trailer itself for stuff and easier organization and access of items.
    Actions:
    • Anyone who borrows the quad must return it in good condition. If for some reason they are not
able to, they must inform Brenda and discuss the next steps, including doing a handwash at her
    place.
    • Erin will talk to Christine about getting the spare welded on to the trailer tongue, including
discussing options with Christine’s husband and with D.
    • DRM and MTRC will split the cost of the mount.
  8. May 11 Belair ride update
    • Ashley informed the group MTRC horses will not be able to move into the shared DRM ride
camp space until after the DRM 50s are done on Saturday because MTRC doesn’t require
Coggins (at this time) whereas DRM does. She said this restriction was part of the permit
application and related to Covid precautions.
    • This ride has a scribe, but still needs a timer and a demarker.
    Actions:
    • Kari will look into the restriction concerns and update the group at the next meeting.
  9. NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30 pm at Iris’s house.
  10. ADJOURNMENT: 7:42 pm
